I also was raised in the Lutheran faith, although my family attended church only occasionally. My mother, however, was determined that I know who Jesus was, so I thought I knew Him - but I did not.  It was not until a coworker of my husband invited us to his independent, fundamental Baptist church that I really heard the Gospel for the first time, and then I believed on the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior.

My husband and I immediately began serving the Lord, and I starting hearing for the first time about missionaries and what they do. At Battlefield Baptist Church we were very involved in many ministries, including the annual Missions Revival, the biggest event of the year. It was during this time that the Lord starting pricking my heart for missions. I’m ashamed to admit that this initially frightened me, and I tried to ignore this call.

But the Lord would not let go of my heart, and I surrendered with my husband to be a missionary in September of 2002. Since that time, although we did not know what the future held or where the Lord would send us (until He made that clear in June 2006), I have had a peace in my heart, humbly knowing that He will use us to bring others to the saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are prepared to go to Wales to fulfill His commission.
